What is a shower pan?
In the bathroom furniture, there are many options, but one necessary item is a shower pan. This is what makes the shower floor and directs all the water to the outflow if it is properly installed. Virgins of shower pans are usually designed from synthetic materials such as glass fiber, acrylic or other strong, durable, waterproof materials. Some shower pans allow them to lay tile and give more decoration options.
The process of installing a shower pan or replacement usually runs for about four to six hours. Especially when a replacement is carried out, some light demolition work and advanced plumbing skills are needed. The help of at least one other person is also useful, especially when the pipeline is introduced into the outflow lineup from below.
Theshower pelvis consists of the pelvis itself as well as the DSestava rain. The main part of the outflow is usually a heavy, chrome ring that is on VNthe more than one side. This is to allow the nut to screw on it from the underside, a stretched ring into two seals, waterproof at the top and metal below. These parts of the assembly ensure that all water is shed directly into the drain pipe, which prevents the leaks around the opening in the pan itself. The last part is a strainer, a small metal grid or a screen that prevents any large objects from falling into the drain pipe and causing seals. The stigter is the only part of the outflow assembly that can be seen from above as soon as the shower pan is fully installed and is the last part to be installed.
Often, especially in newer shower pens, the shower floor will be made of ceramic tiles and grout. In this case, there will be no need for a traditional shower pan, but measures against leaks must be taken. There is a common misconception that the floor of ceramic tiles budes all the water just a slope to the outflow but the hat is not understood that a significant amount of waterIt can penetrate through the tile and grout and into the mortar layer. This can cause molds and other serious problems if the leak is sufficiently significant. In these situations, it is therefore important to use a shower insert or other impermeable layer under the tile that serves the same function as the shower pelvis.
