What is the spynx cat?
Sphynx is a rare cat breed that is hairless or almost hairless. Some spynx cats have more hair than others, but often the only hair that has this breed is an almost invisible layer of fur and maybe beard. The sphynx cat has a chest in the shape of a head, long legs and small paws. The body, tail and neck are long and the ears of the Sphynx Cat are relatively large compared to the size of the head.
Even if the breed is basically hairless, it is not hypoallergenic. Yet it may be a good choice for those who have milder allergies. The Sphynx cat usually needs a bath once a week because it lacks a coat to hold in its body oils. After bathing, it is necessary to ensure that the cat dries well. Of course, all domestic cats are intended as inside, but this is especially true for Sphynx, because it has no protection against elements at all. The skin still has a designation such as stripes, spots or freedom. Although the spynx cat may look pretty fine without fur, it is said to be resistant plEMENO. In general, it is known that spynx cats have little genetic or other health problems.
SPHYNX is a social cat that usually does not like to spend time without a human community. Spynx cats are said to be immediate clowns for most of the time and are often very active and curious. Sphynx can do well with another cat or even with a dog in the home.
The development of the SPHRYNX CAT breed was not intentional. It was the result of a natural mutation. Beazing kitten was born a domestic cat in Toronto Ontario and it started the spynx breed, which is also known as Canadian hairless cats. In the mid -1970s, the Sphynx became established as a breed and breeding programs in countries such as the Netherlands and the United States were underway. The Devon Rex breed as MyK's SPHYNX Cat Development contributed naturally hairless domestic cats.
