What is the star?

Starling is a type of Passerine bird in the Sturnidae family. Several stars are found worldwide, but European or ordinary Starling is the most widespread and many. Starfish have black feathers with shiny shine and brown feathers with white spots in winter in the summer. They live in areas populated by people where they gather in groups and call their loud calls. Starlings are generally considered pests because of their noise and their tendency to destroy crops.

Ordinary starfish are found in Europe, North America and west like the Azores in the Atlantic Ocean. They were brought to the United States in 1890 and quickly spread throughout North America, currently counting around 200 million. Other types of stars include the star of the White Head, Rosy Starling, Spotted Stars and Asian Pied Starling.

Starling's appearance changes with seasons. In summer, their black feathers have a shiny purplish-green shade that disappears brown with white spots when the weather cools down. Their legs areGenerally reddish -brown and their beaks are bright yellow. Starlings have a strong building with short tails and thin beaks. They reach an average length of 8.5 inches (about 21.5 cm) and a weight from 2.5 to 3.5 ounces (about 70 to 100 grams).

habitats that prefer stars are usually close to people, including suburbs and rural areas. They need niches or indentations in buildings or trees to build their nests and access to the courts, agricultural land and street to make forage for food. Competition with the stars has turned other bird species in some areas.

Starlings travel in large groups consisting of other stars and other birds such as grackles. Staying in large groups provides them with special protection against predators, such asFalcons and Cats. They are very social birds who spend most of their day singing. Starlings learned to imitate the sounds of anotherCH birds, animals and mechanical sounds in their environment, which contributes to their overall volume.

Starling's diet generally consists of insects, fruits, seeds and grains, although they also fell into the basket outside. In rural areas, the starfish clashed with farmers because of their feed habits, which often lead to the destruction of crops.
