What is tenor?
Tenor is a type of voice embodied by a man who has one of the highest ranges for this sex. This group has a general set of defining characteristics and is further divided into five specific types identified by characteristics, such as coloring, voice weight and titsitura, the most convenient place for the singer. Partial types include Legigiero, Lyric and Spinto, as well as a dramatic and holder. The sixth type and one usually labeled as a separate category Total is typically pre-adolescent contracting. This is a rare type of voice, although the bass is the least common. In the choral environments, most men are baritones, but sometimes they sing a higher part or lower altos. This type has great dexterity and can hit high notes from C3 DOD5. As the highest type of tenor, roles are often seen in Rossini and Mozart operas. The singer with warmer quality and brighter color than Legigiero is identified as a lyrical tenor. This wide category includes many variations of voice weight, coloring and tEssitura.
heavier voice weight and slightly lower range are characterized by tenor spinto. The range is usually the same as the other tenors, but spino can be able to intervene several lower notes under one octave under the center of C. These roles require more dramatic quality than leggieo or lyrical part.
Dramatic tenor has the lowest range in this category, is able to reach several notes below C3 and can have the same tssitura as baritone. Timbre varies and in the range of darker and serious to brass and dramatic. Dramatic tenor roles include the title character in Verdi's Otello and Florestan in Beethoven's Fidelio
The darkest and most dramatic tenor is Heldenor. The range is still high and occasionally reaches high B or C, but many of them are in fact temporary baritones with strong upper registers. This type appears in Wagnerian role as PRotagonist, such as logo in das rheingold or siegfried at the opera of the same name.
Although it is sometimes classified as its own type of voice, the opposite has the highest range of all male categories. It is usually embodied in front of adolescent men and the extent is comparable to the extent of female contrast. The range usually stretches from G below medium C to one octave over this note.
