What is Trident Maple?
Trident Maple, scientifically known as Acer bulerianum , is a type of tree belonging to the Aceraceae family. It is usually grown as a garden tree in many mild areas and is a native of Tai -wan and China. As a slow growing tree, the maple Trident requires little maintenance and is often planted as a tree on the street or on the terrace. It is also a highly preferred species for bonsai art because it is suitable for use with bonsai techniques, such as leaf reduction. Run roots and suitcases easily thicken and respond well to the popular design of the root rock.
All varieties of plants are deciduous and benefit in full sun and well -drained soil. These trees can tolerate heavy winds, air pollution and dry, but during ice storms they tend to suffer. As the tree ages, its bark is peeling to reveal another layer in brown, orange or gray.
also referred to as three teeth, the maple Trident ranges from 16 to 65 feet (Abhýška 5 to 20 m) and the trunk is usually around 1.6 sTop (0.5 m) on average. The tree is often trimmed before it is planted to form the desired shape. Like other maple trees, the maple Trident is generally without illnesses and pests, but may be susceptible to damage to the caterpillar.
usually the three-lines are glossy leaves and dark green at the top, but at the bottom pale. These leaves are arranged in opposite pairs, each measuring about 1 to 3 inches (2.5 to 8 cm) in length and about 1.4 to 2.5 inches (3.5 to 6.5 cm) in width. On mature trees, the leaves have smooth edges and lobes that usually point forward. On the other hand, young trees produce leaves with serrated edges and lobes tend to spread more than older leaves of trees.
During the spring times, Trident Maple produces flowers that appear in free hanging clusters. Each floral consists of eight male reproductive organs, five green separations and five yellow-white petalsrushing about 0.08 inches (2 mm) in length. The fruit resembles a flattened paper wing containing two seeds that measure a diameter of 0.2 to 0.3 inches (about 4 to 7 mm). In general, the wings show forward and usually overlap each other.
Trident maple promotion is commonly performed with cuttings or seeds. When growing in pots, repotting is required every two years, especially in early spring, which is a period of active growth. In order to ensure that the leaves grow to the lower part of this plant, the gardener must cut the tree crown strongly.
