What is the year?

Annual is an animal that is annual. This is the most basic definition. In the world of horses, however, the horse is one year old on January 1 in the northern hemisphere and 1 August in the southern hemisphere. Since most horses are born at the end of winter or spring, it rarely means that the horse will be born in December and will officially be a year when only a month old in January. Until then, it is clear whether it will have the right conformation for a racing horse, and the owner and coach usually know whether it is a sprinter or a distance run or a saddle companion. In order to be thoroughbred, the horse must be able to trace his ancestors back to one of the three stallions in England at the end of the 17th and at the beginning of the 18th century. They were the Arabs who joined the English mares to create runners remotely. The thoroughbred must also be registered with the local Jockey Club, which monitors all blood lines and winnings.

Some horses are competing in the year of the year, but most of them are taken for training at this age. Serious races usually start in V VFor two years and finds his wife at three years races. The most famous of these races is Kentucky Derby, which takes place every year in Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY.

annual thoroughbred can be an expensive animal. Depending on its conformation and blood lines, it could be sold for more than $ 1 million. Most of this are sold for about half, but any animal that can be traced back to the Derby winner, such as Secretariat, Quote, Confirmed or Seattle Snow, is worth a lot of money. Many horse owners buy a thoroughbred year not because they feel that it will be a great racing horse, but because they know they will improve their farm blood lines. An annual thoroughbred that does not look at all promising dates can still produce great racers as a breeder or can generally improve the line.
