Annonaceaae family found around the world. Most family members are tropical or subtropical, and there is a wide variety in Amazon jungles. The species carrying fruit primarily came from America, but human activity has expanded them to all tropical areas of the world.

The species of Annonaceae were once expanded outside the tropics, but most of the unusual families and species died out. Some species, such as the custard apple itself, can be grown to the north as Florida. The American southeast paw tree, Assimina triloba, is a surviving family zone.

The fruit Annonaceae in widespread economic use is an apple or Annon Reticulata; Cherimoya or Annona Cherimola; SOURSOP or Annon Muricata; and Sweetsop or Annon Squamosa, which is also known as Sugar Apple. Paw trees are not commercially cultivated, but their fruit is highly valued. The apple of the pond, also called the alligator Apple or Annon GLABR, carries good to eat fruit, but produces excellent rootstocks for the types of orchards.

In the Amazon regions, the natives used crushed bark Annonaceae as a twine and wood as firewood. The use of wood includes an outdoor structure such as bridges and engineeredRan poles. Some species, such as a mast or pendula polyalthia longifolia, are grown as ornamental trees in tropical and subtropical areas.
