What is lency?
In the Catholic doctrine, there are indulgences of remission of punishment for sins. In order to gain leniousness, the sinner must first admit and be awarded, and then he must perform some kind of act to gain leniency. In the medieval period, indulgences were seriously abused and became the main point of the Protestant Reformation when people like Martin Luther claimed that the Church was clearly deeply corrupt and needed to return to early Christian values. The indulgences allow people to choose from: they can either atone for sin in life or suffer in hell. Sometimes repentance could be quite serious and, as a result, leniency has appeared as an alternative to things like wearing hair shirts or other actions of suffering.
During the first crusade was the first diaper or the absolute devotion of the GR GRANTED, with the Pope agreed that all the crusaders who confessed their sins will receive absolute lenient. In this case, participation in the Crusade was considered an event that would deserve to be grantedindulgence.
In order to receive lenience, someone has several options. Many Christians in the medieval period decided to give alms, engage in sincere prayer or quickly, and these actions were considered appropriate to repent for their sins. Over time, however, the practice of giving alms to adopt indulgences has been corrupt and it was essential to buy indulgences from church officials. The practice of exchange of money for indulgences is explicitly prohibited today.
Christians are also allowed to intercede each other to ask for indulgences. In a sense, someone who has a larger credit in the bankaosoba based on their own good behavior. This principle is based on the idea essential for the early Christian faith that all Christians are essentially the same body, with Christ in the head.
After gross abuse of lenient in the medieval era, the doctrine was made by a number of reforms. Religious officials continue to encourageThey consider Christians to pray, donate a charity organization, and perform other works that could be considered worthy of indulgence, but it is reminded that Christians are simply an important part of Christian virtue. Today there are no plenary indulgences, although partial indulgences can be awarded after someone proves real denial and is working to atone for sin.
