What is an overvalued aquarium?
The exaggerated aquarium is an aquarium that has either too many fish, or is too small for a few fish it has, even though it is only one or two large fish.
There are general storage rules for both sweet and salt water tanks, but these rules are affected by many factors and must be treated as such. They are also based on very small fish and do not apply to fish that grow.
The safe rule of the thumb for small to medium freshwater fish is 1 "(2.54 cm) fish for 2.5 gallons (9.5 liters) water and for sea, 1" (2.54 cm) fish per 5 gallons (19 liters). In both cases, the adult or possible length that the fish achieves should be used. No length when purchasing. Otherwise, your fish will grow your aquarium. Medium fish can be considered up to 4 "(10 cm) fully grown. Often they are aggressive if they are cramped. For example, 18" (45.7 cm) deep fish requires at least 250 gallon (946l) tank to comfortably turn and have a small swimming space. This is about 14 gallons (53l) on 1 "(2,54 cm) fish! In this example, you can see how the thumb rule escalates for larger fish.
Because the surface area affects the replacement of oxygen in the tank, tanks that are higher and narrower support less fish than tanks that are longer, although both tanks hold the same amount of water. Most fish also float horizontally, not vertically, so the width is desirable than height.
The tanks that are overvalued will not only provide a stressful fish environment that are likely to lead to illness, but exaggerated tanks produce much more work for aquarist. Maintenance must be carried out more often on the tank that is crowded.signs that could show, for example, a surprised tank are:
- Fish are aggressive.
- fins or divided fins.
- The disease seems to be a constant factor.
- Maintenance is required more than 1-2 times a month.
- nitrates still ascendIt eats even at 25-30% of monthly water changes.
If your tank is overcrowded, there is a way out. Most of the local fish shops are pleased to take off the fish from the hands of the loan if the fish is valuable or as a courtesy if not. Either way, you win a decrease in the population in your tank. Before bringing any fish, check the local fish shop. Or if you really want all the fish you have, you can consider upgrading to a larger tank.
Overctocking is the most common mistake and the most expensive fish and aquarist. There is nothing frustrating than trying to fish and be unsuccessful for all your efforts. If it sounds like you, your tank may be exaggerated. Reduce the population and see how much more can be a hobby. Your fish will be Apprecite it too!
