What is Baroque pop?

Baroque pop is a music movement from the sixties that combined classical music with POP and Rock N 'Roll. Among the main bands that practice the form were zombies, Burt Bacharach, The Kinks and Beach Boys. Remarkable albums include the Beatles album "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" and "Whiter Shade of Pale" single by Pocol Harum. Despite adventure and ornamental music, lyrics of songs often remain mainstream and not abstract as in progressive rock. These include full orchestras, chamber music and string quartets, but they can also include individual tools. Other tools heard in Baroque pop include Harpsichord, Cello, French Horn and Hoboj. More exotic instruments from all world music can also be included in the Baroque pop if they deviate from traditional piano, drums, bass and guitarization of pop and rock. While its influences were classic and experimental, the name of the form owes the origin of the Baroque art movement. Baroque is a term applied to art, architeEktura and music that added decoration to simple works. This included compositions by Claudio Monteverdi, Johann Sebastian Bach, Heinrich Schult and Antonio Vivaldi.

Beatles owes its Baroque pop phase mostly to its "fifth member", producer and composer George Martin. Martin studied Hoboj and Piano at school and after graduation he continued his work for classical British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). He helped the band with their early compositions and their orchestral arrangement with songs like "yesterday" and "Eleanor Rigby". Like the album "Sgt. Pepper", they used the form on their "white album". George Harrison also contributed to their Baroque phase by experimenting with exotic instruments such as Sitar.

One of the first supporters of the Baroque pop was Burt Bacharach. In the early 1960s, Burt The Flugelhorn used songs like "Walk on".
