Blue FESCUE GRASS is a popular accessory to rock gardens because it is tolerant to dry. It is also often planted along the front row of flower beds, as its height does not pose the risk of shading or covering the flower views behind it. The growth behavior of this plant is comparable to bamboo behavior. When the plant has many dead leaves, it can be cut back to a minimum height of about 1.6 inches (4 cm) from the ground.

This ornamental grass prefers regular watering, well -drained soils and full conditions of the sun. Most often they spread by division and each cluster can be divided into many small clusters for transplantation. Fuscue blue grass can also be grown from seeds. Since this plant can grow rapidly, most commercial gardeners leave only one stem and a little root for each division. If it is not divided into a period of two to three years, the grass isand very likely to die out.
