What is Blluest's grass?

Grass's BlueSt concerns various grasses from North America in general and from the Great Plain specifically. These plants have many uses, including grazing with large livestock, for landscaping and for erosion control. The Chippewa Indians used bluest grass for cooking, housing and for healing purposes. Three variations of grass grass are Big Bluest, Little Bluest and Sand Bluest. As the highest grass, it can grow up to 10 feet (3 m), with seed heads that change the color from bronze to violet to green with blue-green stems. The blades grow to a length of up to 12 inches (30.5 cm), with leaves that develop a red tinge and turn bronze in autumn. It is partial clay soil, which is the soil consisting of the same parts of sand, mud and clay, and the plant tends to have a thick growth with deep roots, which help prevent prairie wind to blow all the dirt around the plant. This native grass is located in North America from southern Canada to the south in Florida and Mexico and to the westto Montana.

Sand blluest, or Andropogon Halli , is slightly smaller than a large bluest and grows to a height of about 7 feet (2.1 m). It has horizontal stems of 4-8 inches (10.2-20.3 cm), with a stem base in the shape of the letter J. The head seed tends to protrude in groups of three, giving the appearance of a turkey leg as well as a large bluestm. Blluest sand grows in sandy soils, or in the soils of sand and clay, throughout the Midwest United States and in the Great Plains.

Little Bluest, or schizachyrium scoparium , is the smallest of three varieties and grows to a maximum of 3 feet (0.9 m) high. It's green with some purple at The Stony base. The seed heads are located in a cluster of hair, about 3 inches (7.6 cm). Little Bluest grows in different soils and as such is the most distributed native grass in North America.

All three varieties of BlueStemovThe grass has similar use. They are used to stabilize different soils and protection from the wind caused by wind. Livestock animals such as deer and elk graze on the grass and seeds eat birds of songs and games. Bluestém grass provides high -quality grass in search of food for different livestock classes and is used for hay. Graces are also used as ornamental flowers and boundaries in flower gardens.
