What is Coachella?

The name of Coachella, although it is also the name of the city in Riverside County in California, usually refers to the Coachella Valley music and art festival. The Coachella festival takes place once a year in Indio, also in Riverside County. Coachella takes place during the last April. Since the first official Coachell festival in 1999, the event has grown in popularity to the extent that the original two days for the festival were extended to three days.

Festival of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival takes place on the lawn Empire Polo Fields in Indiu. At this point on November 5, 1993, the Alternative Rock Bands and Pearl Jam for nearly 25,000 fans performed. The Empire Polo Fields has proved to be a suitable place for a large concert, despite India's harsh desert heat and distance from the capitals in California, Arizona and Nevada. This time the organizers decided to hold Coachell in April, avoided the height of the California desert summer, and recently gathered dependence on the Jane group. In the following years, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival continued to gain popularity and interest around the world.

In addition to living music, Coachella also has a strong artistic presence. Art sculpture and installations are part of the festivities of every year. Many art installations are interactive and are strategically placed around the Empire Polo Fields' lawns where the Attendees festival probably walks between them. Visual artists who are manifested in Coachella often show more than one year, while so far, only a handful of music artists performed in CoaChella more than once.

The camp is also common at Coachella and began at the 2002 festival. Guests who decide to camp will remain on the nearby polo Field, next to the lawn used for the festival area. Camping in Coachella is limited to tents and there are a number of rules to prevent damage and pollution of reasons. For example, glass, alcohol, open fires and kitchen equipment are not allowed on camps. Also on the lawn, where music and art take place, it is forbidden to bring blankets, chairs, except food and drink, sound recording equipment, professional cameras and of course drugs and alcohol. Coachella organizers also set up a recycling system for water bottles. Guests who bring 10 empty plastic water bottles to recycle will receive a fresh bottle of water for free.
