What is Frailea?

Frailea is a genus Cactus originating in South America. This is named for the Spanish scientific manual Fraile, which significantly contributed to the study of cacti at work for the US Ministry of Agriculture at the beginning of the 20th century. The Frailea genus consists of many species, although everyone shares a small, globular form. Most types of plants in the genus Frailea grow best in sandy or clay soil and everything thrives in a hot, humid climate. These cylindrical cacti often occur in mountain areas where they hatch between rocky surfaces. While these plants are able to produce brilliant flowers, they often release seeds without flowering. The seeds begin to grow around the plant, often before the gardener realizes that the plant germinated. For this reason, Frailea often grows in clusters and can be difficult to plan in a controlled environment. When the Token are visible, it is often only during the hottest part of the day when the Sun levels are highest.

Frailea Cataphracta is one of the most popular species of this plant. This plant, known for its round, the shape of the squat, is one of the largest of the Frailea family. It is equipped with a Ridged and a tied surface that gives it a look similar to the bottom of the artist. The plant is primarily green, but develops shades of purple and brown as it ages and develops. When Cataphracta blooms on hot days, it can produce a flower larger than the plant itself, with flowers from white to yellow.

Frailea Castane is another popular species in this family of cacti and is known for its color from the brown chestnut. It has a very clear appearance that resembles a squat pumpkin, with vertical grooves running up and after its base. Groups of chocolate brown backbone are centered along each vertical part between the grooves. These stems are arranged in clusters to provide a formula similar to a button. Like all plants in this family, Castane rarely shows its flowers.

FraIlea pygmea is a form of dwarf cactus, which often occurs in the same area as the plants of Castanea. The type of pygmea is very similar to the pineapple with a cylindrical base and a high white or yellow flower centered above. The Pygmea base may lie partially underground, with only a flowering part. The whole base is covered with soft yellow spines that give this species a look like a wave.
