What is Gothic Lolita Fashion?

Gothic Lolita Fashion is a style developed in the Japanese youth culture that combines Lolita Fashion, inspired by Victorian and Edwardian styles, with Gothic aesthetics. Gothic styles Lolita are usually sports teenage girls in Japan, although fashion has small consequences in other countries, especially among fans of Japanese culture. The style was popularized by the Moi-Même-Moitié fashion house, founded in 1999 and the magazine Gothic & Lolita Bible

Lolita fashion simulates the appearance of Victorian dolls, often with a short Crinoline skier. Accessories may include parasols, large bows or small hats and teddy bears or dolls. Gothic Lolita differs from other lolita styles using black and white as the main colors and integration of goth images such as Gothic architecture, crosses, bats, etc. Gothic can also appear other dark colors such as gray, purple and dark blue -alley, but black and white is the most common color scheme.
