What is a brick color?

paim surfaces include masonry, wood, metal, plastic/vinyl and composites. In the case of masonry color, the basic principle is the same, the protection and decoration of the surface of the masonry. The surface of the masonry is generally considered to be concrete, brick and mortar, stucco, cement block and sandstone. Because the masonry usually represents a much more porny surface than wood or metal, for example, masonry and primers must be formulated to effectively face their visits. The improvement of color is therefore specially designed to seal moisture. The brick color must therefore provide the insulation value of the substrate. The breathability of the color is essential for the efficiency of a brick coating that allows the trapped moisture to escape off the surface and prevent greater moisture.

A painter may be a lady -based or alkyd -based lady, or it can be latex or water. Usually a brick primer will be based on oil and the top cabin will be latex. Domestic masonry Do-it-yourselfers Note: Latex product can be applied to oil-based product, but on the contrary is not a good idea.

Masonry surfaces represent a number of unique problems with preparation for the surface, including peeling, dust and flourish or chalk, as well as a common problem of expansion and contraction. Proper preparation of masonry surface is very important for the efficiency of both oil or latex masonry primers and colors. Products specially designed for cleaning and etching masonry surfaces must be properly applied, while cracks, worsening and defects on the surface must be repaired before the painting.

Numerous manufacturer of masonry colors and primers boasts the addition of poly vinylace (PVA) to the product to increase adhesive properties. Others argue that added stabilizers or binders designed to hold together, decaying decaying and dusty masonry, which characterize older, deteriorating surfaces. Some masonry manufacturers offer both additives together. However, there seems to be a certain claim of how effective they can beand binding compounds and whether they are longer -term problems than solutions.

Simply, the masonry is painted and sealant, which must be elastic, breathable and durable. It must not dry too quickly, remain wet enough to be brushed, rolled or sprayed directly on a properly prepared masonry with a uniform consistency. Assuming that the correct preparation and activation of the masonry has been performed, it will be like any quality external color, which is essentially a resistant color resistant to weathering, to function as masonry.
