What is plywood?

technically, all plywood is plywood plywood. The plywood is treated with wood. It is created by gluing at least three thin layers of wood, called layers or Veneers together, so the wooden grain in each veneer layer is perpendicular to the grain of the previous layer. Plywood is a very powerful, durable product. In the rotary cutting process, the entire protocol turns evenly while held against a long blade. It is the most effective method of cutting veneer and leads to the largest sheet. In the flat cut method, the layers are cut from one side of the stationary protocol. This often leads to a beautiful granular veneer.

plywood veneer can be made of rotary cut or flat cut veneer. An important element of plywood veneer is that each layer is located so that in the previous layer there is a wooden grain at an angle of 90 degrees to the wooden grain. This location gives plywood a veneer -mounted force. Because wood tends to burst, turn, shrink and the curriculum along the grain so that the grain in each layer runs the opposite wayBem reduces the movement of wood. Although the use of veneer dates back to ancient Egypt, it had a limited range of use, especially decorative. Available adhesive was not sufficiently durable for heavy use.

Synthetic resin adhesives were developed in the 1920s and improved over the 30th years. Then it was possible to fully appreciate the power of plywood. One of the famous fighter levels of World War II, the British bomber of the mosquito, was kindly called "wooden miracle" because it was made of plywood. The use of plywood has increased dramatically in the postwar years.

Better adhesives are still evolving for plywood. Today, the emphasis is placed on the creation of adhesive, which is non -toxic and suitable for specific use. Indoor, outdoor and sea plywood are made with different adhesives. Now it is also possible to impregnate veneer layers of plastic and create a product suitable for even more projects.

plywood has oftenof advantages. It has a greater static bending force than steel when both pounds for a pound are compared. It is made of renewable source. Wasting less protocol than lumber cutting. It is extremely versatile, used in everything, from floors to musical instruments to aircraft propellers. It is beautiful and shows the attractive color and pattern of highly valued hard wood. Due to these advantages, its popularity continues to increase.
