What is the syngonium?
Syngonium is a genus that includes 36 types of flowering, wine plants from the rainforests of Central and South America. In the wild, the types of syngoniums can reach more than 60 feet (18.3 m) as they rise near trees. Other types of syngoniums are kept as houseplants and include species such as the one that is commonly referred to as the arrow plant. These plants are part of the Araceae scientific family. This branch then grows and climbs to the suitcase of a nearby tree. The grapevine then flows and carries the fruit high in the tree, while its shape changes when the plant ripens. The plant then produces branches that return to the ground, and these new branches rise neighboring trees.
Flowers on the types of syngonia are formed by green, yellow or white cloaks around the tip of small flowers. From the vagina - also known as Spathe - the berries are formed later in the season. In the wild, these berries fall into the forest floor. Within the berries are seeds of plants that are scattered by animals aso are wasps, beetles, bats and monkeys.
leaves can grow very large, with the popular house plant of philodendron has leaves of up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) after cultivation. All parts of the plants contain oxalate crystals. If these crystals are used by humans, they can cause lips, tongue and neck to increase.
Many species of the genus Syngonia are threatened by the loss of the habitat. These include Syngonium Dodsonianum , Syngonium Harlingianum and Syngonium Sparreorum . However, other species are common and the Arrowhead or Goosefoot - Syngonium Podophyllum - is listed as an invasive species in Florida. The arrow race is located in homes and cultivated and part of the landscaping in some areas of the world. Commonly grown in a hanging basket, vines with an arrow and its leaves change the shape as it matures.
Syngonium Makrophyllum , commonly called PhilOdendron is another popular room. Philodendron has leaves that are oval and turn into elongated segments as the plant matures. Philodendron, which grows 6 to 10 feet (1.8 to 3 m) in height, gives cream and green flowers.
When cultivating inside, the plants of syngonia need bright, filtered light. They should not have direct sunlight because they will easily burn. Temperatures should never drop below 55 degrees Fahrenheit (12.8 degrees Celsius).
