What is Cthulhu Mythos?
Cthulhu Mythos is a fictitious universe created by the famous American horror author H.P. Lovecraft in the 1920s. Although it was originally created by Lovecraft, Cthulhu Mythos was sampled and widespread by many other authors. In general, stories set in mythos Cthulhu are ideas and themes originally created by Lovecraft and many authors who write in Mythos are trying to expand or clarify the original ideas of Lovecraft. Mythos received his name from Cthulhu, a water demigod, which is referred to in many stories, and is considered the most popular of Lovecraft's creations. The universe is dominated by deities called large old or simply old and their counterparts, older gods.
