pirates of pension or Slave of Duty is the operetta of Gilbert and Sullivan. Sir William Schwenck Gilbert wrote libretto and Sir Arthur Seymour Sullivan composed music. The pirates of the Penzance were their fifth operetta together, followed by HMS Pinafore . The Pirates of Penzance were first performed at Paignton, The Royal Bijou Theater on 30 December 1879 for copyright reasons. However, the premiere was in New York at the Avenue 31 Theater on December 1879. Due to defective hearing, Ruth makes a mistake of teaching her accusations, Frederic on the pirate instead of a pilot. Frederic was faithful to the Pirates, because it was his duty, but now that he is preparing with his apprenticeship training after an adulthful mercy to the orphans and a more interesting colleague who is.

The group is immediately recognized by the pirates of the Penzance who married them. He enters General and, after understanding the situation, claims to be an orphan because they know that it will be discouraged by pirates from making their threats. Pirates - loyal form - abandon and Mabel and Frederic will leave their wedding.

Act II opens with Mabel and Frederic finding her father up and sadness in the middle of the night. He turned out to seek the tombs of his ancestors because they feel guilty of them that he was an orphan. It turns out that this is just a night when Frederic will lead the local Constabulary against the pirates of the Penzance.

The constables arrive and embarked on their mission, but Frederic, now alone, is interrupted by the Pirate King and Ruth, who give him some unexpected news: because he was born on February 29 in the jump year, rather than now 21 and age, is only "five and a little." Unfortunately, this also means he's still a pirate because he was only up to 21 years of age, but until he reached his only oneH and twentieth birthday.

Given this new state of affairs Frederic feels the duty to admit that Major General Stanley is not an orphan, and the Pirate King promises to attack the General's home this night. Frederic finds Mabel to explain the new situation and say goodbye. Mabel transmits the news to the constables and sets out to capture the pirates without Frederic's leadership, so far the pension is approaching "with cat tread".

Major General wakes up at night and goes out, followed by his departments who want to see why he is awake. Pirates who take the general prisoner are confronted. The constations arrive, and while the current benefits of Pirates notice, turn things on your head, they simply command the Pirates to give up the name of Queen Victoria. Pirates feel obliged to listen because they love their queen. Ruth then reveals that the pirates are actually all nobles, General begging the pardon of the pirate king and offering his daughters to Pirates in marriage, and the Pirates of Penzance Šechny.
