Who was Wagner?

Wilhelm Richard Wagner (1813-1883) was a German composer who is best known for his operas. He is also sometimes referred to the surname of Geyer, because his father died before he was a year, and his mother quickly married actor Ludwig Geyer. Some claims that Geyer was actually Wagner's biological father, but these claims were not proven. Geyer died when he was six. But he was not a great piano player, and his teacher was frustrated that he did not perform the simplest scale. He was much interested in writing games and saw music only as a means of strengthening the drama of the stories he wanted to tell.

his interest in the music itself seems to be from the age of 18 from the age of 18 . At the moment he "discovered" Beethoven. Two years later, he composed his first opera, die Feen or Fair , which was not performed during his life. His marriage to Christine "Minna" was stormy. She ran several times with other men, and the two of them were so much debt thatThey had to suddenly escape from Riga in Russia, to England to escape their debtors.

When traveling to England, he was inspired by his shipping to create der Fliegende Holländer ( Flying Dutch ) that would become one of his better known operas. In 1840 Wagner and Plaker lived in Paris and spent time organizing the operas of other composers.

Back in Germany was able to perform both flying dutchman and rienzi , his third opera. However, his political position in the nationalist GE movement and his small participation in the various introduces forced him to flee him from Germany when the movement was crushed.

These years of exile have been made more difficult to deepen his wife's depression and his own contraction of the erysipelas, which is a state caused by strip bacteria, causing inflammation of the skin and oily tissues. Despite these conditions, his great work was, des des nIbelungan , or Nibelungs Circle During this time. Tristan und isolde was composed about five years later.

Unfortunately,

between the creation of operas began to develop a philosophy strongly promoting anti -Semitism. His book from 1850 "Jew in Music" is a vicious attack against Jewish composers. His anti -Semitic attitude is somewhat questioned because he was a supporter of several Jewish composers. The later reviews of his work are contradictory conclusions that he was extremely anti -Semitic and that his operas were layered a negative reference to Jews. Others feel that because Hitler has appropriated Wagnenian Music as the right Nazi music, the claims of anti -Semitism are exaggerated.

Wagner's later life saw his marriage ends after he had numerous matters. His most scandalous intercourse was with the illegitimate daughter of Franz Liszt, Cosima von Bülow. The affair was led very openly and added to disgust its former friends. Liszt did not talk to him, and tAbout or after he married Cosima.

Later work includes some of the most famous pieces of Wagner, parsifal , Valkyrie and siegfried . It is also known for its composition, which English speakers commonly refer to as a wedding march. It is also said to have greatly influenced film scoring. Its influence can be felt in Jerry Goldsmith, Danny Elfman and John Williams.

His work remained influential after his death, and especially modern British authors, such as T.S. Eliot, James Joyce and Auden praised him. His death thoughts are quite similar to those who have developed Freud, but precede Freud. Although some of them now consider its operas to be their hands hard, others will be pleased in them and cannot deny their influence on modern composition.
