What are the components of the immune system?

The

immune system is responsible for protecting the human body from foreign objects that could cause infection such as viruses and bacteria. There are several organs and systems in the body that form the immune system. Some of the important components of the immune system are the lymphatic system, white blood cells, spleen, antibodies and bone marrow.

One of the main components of the immune system is the lymphatic system. This system consists of small lymph nodes that are located throughout the body in areas such as the neck, a pit of arms and inside the abdomen. When the infection is located inside the body, it is captured inside the lymph nodes, which could cause the lymph nodes to increase. After the infection is captured, it is destroyed by white blood cells. There are six main types of white blood cells, which are mostly created in the bone marrow. Any -bed of white blood cells is responsible for fighting a certain infection. The level of white blood cells found in the blood often increases when an infection is present.

Another of the main components of the immune system is the spleen. The spleen is located in the abdomen behind the thoracic cage. It is responsible for filtering blood and storing white blood cells.
