What are the different parts of the duoden?
The small intestine consists of three different parts that are duodenum, jejunu and ileum. The duodenum is much shorter than the other two parts, but there is the most digestion. It is only about 10 inches (25 cm) and consists of four parts that are superior, descending part, horizontal part and ascending part. It has a distinct shape of C, which consists of four parts of the duodenum, and allows it to wrap the abdominal head. Once the food passes through the last part of the duodenum, it moves to the Jun. The parts were referred to as a way to discuss a particular place in the C -shaped organ and also to be named by a place where part falls along the form C, part of the duodenum area also referred to as the first part, second part, third part and fourth part.
The excellent part or the first part begins with a pyloric sphincter. It is about 2 inches (5 cm) long and the first 3/4 inches (2 cm) is the only part of the duodenum that is movable. Unlike the rest of the parts of the duodEnum is not connected to the rear abdominal wall. The first part stretches from the pyloric sphincter towards the bladder and the right kidney in a direction that is slightly towards the back of the body and slightly up.
The second part of the duodenum or descending part is about 3 - 4 inches (8 - 10 cm). It passes along the length of the body before it is sharp towards the center of the body. Pancreatic juices and bile are emptied to this part of the duodenum through the pancreatic channel and a common bile duct. This is necessary to help in the digestion of food.
The horizontal part or the third part of the duodena is about 4 inches (10 cm) long and passes through the body to the left side. It is located on the same level as the l3 spine vertebrae. It joins the ascending or fourth part of the duodenum. This last part is about 1 inch (2.5 cm) long and travels up where it connects to the Junum at the level of the L2 vertebra.
