What is fascicle?
In human anatomy, the fascicle is defined as a cluster or bundle. This term is most often used in describing bundles of muscle or nerve fibers. These structures are found throughout the body and have different functions depending on the location.
Muscle fascicle consists of skeletal muscle fibers. Skeletal muscles are one of the main types of muscles found in the human body and are attached to the bones of tendons, structures created by groups of collagen fibers. Muscle fascicle is surrounded by a specific type of connective tissue known as perimysium.
The nervous fascicle consists of a bundle of nerve fibers known as axons. Axons are responsible for carrying nerve pulses from cells. The nerve fascicle is surrounded by a perineurium, a transparent membrane made of connective tissue. Perineurium works as a protective cover for the fibers contained in the nerve fascicles.

Damage to these nerves can lead to the form of aphasia, where the patient has difficulty repeating what was heard. Although it was once considered to be a fasculity to turn it on, the arched fasciculus is now categorized as part of the superior longitudinal fasculus.
