What is the auditory nerve?

Hearing nerve helps send audio signals or vibration to the brain. He sits behind Cochle and connects with the vestibular body or semicircular channel. This nerve is part of the inner ear and it is just one of the many parts of the ear that allows us to hear sounds. They all work together to send these sounds or vibrations to the brain for processing. The auditory nerve contains the receptor neurons.

to fully understand how the auditory nerve works, it is important to know how to hear the sound. When people hear noises, they really experience vibrations or waves of sound. These vibrations enter the ear via the pin. This opening connects to the ear canal and is shaped as a megaphone. Increases vibrations and facilitates perception. There are three small bones behind the eardrum. When the vibrations hit the ear drum, these bones vibrate. They are determined as a stirrup, anvil and a hammer, and everyone vibrates one by one until the sound is transferred to the inner ear.

The sound enters the inner ear via Kochle. It is a bag filled with liquid, which also vibrates when hearing sound. The basal membrane in Kochlea then transmits the vibrations to the auditory nerve through the Corti organ. This organ is actually cells that are referred to as hair. These hairs are connected directly to the auditory nerve.

This process not only allows us to hear, but also perceive other things. Pitch and volume can also be determined by vibrations inside the ear. For example, the Corti organ already amplifies the sound, but if the noise is extremely loud, it causes cells or hair more intensively. He then sends information through the auditory nerve and sees the brain as a loud noise.

Hearing nerve damage can lead to permanent hearing loss. This is called the loss of nervous hearing and can be caused by certain diseases or health. Early detection can be prevented from hearing loss. Hearing can be partially or fully restored unless the auditory nerve is seriously damagedEN.
