The forearm interosseous membrane (ORTHOPAEDICS) is a tendonous fibrous tissue obliquely extending from the radius to the ulna. It consists of the tendon part in the middle 1/3 and the membranous part at both ends.

(3) The longitudinal stability of the forearm after radial head resection is mainly maintained by the forearm interosseous membrane

When the forearm bones are in the pronation or supination position, the interosseous membrane is relaxed; in the intermediate position, the interosseous membrane is tense.
