What Is the Distal Convoluted Tubule?
The collecting tubule is divided into a cortical collecting tube, a medullary collecting tube and a papillary duct. The total length is about 20 ~ 38mm. The beginning of the cortex collecting tube is connected to the distal curved tubule of the renal tubule through a connecting tubule, and it walks in the cortex labyrinth, enters the medullary line and merges into the medullary collecting tubule, which goes down to the pyramidal papilla through the medulla and is called the papillary tube.
Collection tube
- During the descending process of the collecting tube, a larger tube is continuously converged, and is connected to the nipple tube after about 7 confluences. The nipple tube has a diameter of 0.2 to 0.3mm and opens at
- In the past, it was thought that the collecting tube only had the function of transporting urine. Now it is thought that the collecting tube also has the functions of reabsorption and secretion similar to the far curved tubule.
