What Is the Medial Forebrain Bundle?

The medial forebrain bundle is a nerve fiber bundle. It starts from the basal olfactory zone, septum, peri-almond region, and lower rest, and is formed before the anastomosis. Walking on the parasagittal plane, receiving fibers from anonymous and amygdala, passing through and terminating in the hypothalamus anterolateral area and lateral hypothalamus area. When descending from the hypothalamus, it passes through the ventral flank and is cast into the central superior nucleus, the ventral nucleus, and gray matter around the aqueduct. [1]
