What is the compact bone structure?

Human bone generally includes osseous tissue, an outer coating called periosteum and bone marrow. Two main structural ingredients usually include mushroom bones in the inside, with an outer layer of compact bone. It is usually found in long bones of the body, consisting of units called osteon, each of which is called a Haversian system with a number of channels, concentric rings and bone cells called osteocytes. The compact bone structure is usually dense; It protects the inner section and helps long bones to tolerate body weight and tension during physical activity.

It is also called cortical bone, compact variety usually contains a Haversian system or cylindrical unit inside the structure. The central tube called the Haversian channel usually runs in the same path as the length of the bone and contains blood vessels, nerves and lymphatic vessels. Around the tube are layers called slats, often made of calcium and phosphate deposits that hardly help bones. There are also collagen fibers that help strengthen the structurecompact bones.

gaps between each of the concentric rings are called Lacunae. Bone cells called osteocytes are usually found in circles, including small canals for nutrients that have entered the bone cells. Waste products are usually filtered by these channels. The compact bone structure is also organized, so minerals like calcium and phosphorus can be stored and releases into the blood after needed.

In order to see the structure of the compact bone, scientists usually have to cut the sample into very thin slices, because the light usually does not pass well. Special equipment is often used because the bone is much heavier than other tissues. Sometimes calcium salt is first removed. The channels are usually considered lighter spots, while the rings are consisting of alternating lights and dark sections. There are often gaps between osteons where scientists think they can be producedNew bone tissue.

Spongy Osseous Tissue has similar structures to a compact bone, except that it is a more distracted network of thin columns. There are blood vessels that pass and go to the marrow, where red blood cells are usually produced. Some of the marrows are also among the small columns of bones. The compact bone structure protects these components and organs and muscles of the body.
