We often think that there is a good reason behind everything we do. However, we have never considered that, in fact, there is actually an unknown force behind every choice and every action affecting us. Co-authored with Hawking's "A Brief History of Time" (Popular Edition) and "The Great Design", the top physicist, Montelo Dino, will start a journey of subconscious exploration.
This is a feast of psychology about the subconscious, a true masterpiece, letting you reveal the secrets behind the behavior in the author's humorous language and a lot of psychological experiments and stories. This book can help you discover the positive effects of the subconscious and tell you how to interact with friends, strangers, spouses, colleagues, and bosses. "Subconscious" will definitely subvert the way you know yourself!
Rich and interesting examples are a highlight of this book, you will see:
It may not be the looks, temperament, family background, or size of the biceps that attracts the union of men and women, but the surname of the other person;
People may buy detergent simply because of the color of the packaging;
Why people are more inclined to buy Coca-Cola than Pepsi;
You may choose to buy stocks because of their names;
Why do you touch the other side gently when you talk, it will increase the chance of success?
President Obama may be elected because of his voice;
Why determined victims make mistakes in identifying rapists;
PSAs may actually increase people s uncivilized behavior
...
Hi everyone, my name is Leonard Mlodinow. At the age of 27, I received my PhD in theoretical physics from Berkeley, and after graduation I did research at the California Institute of Technology, where the gang of nerds in The Big Bang Theory lived.
When I was 31 years old, I was poisoned by Hollywood, and I came to Los Angeles alone with a script I wrote and $ 6,000. Six months later, the script was finally sold, leaving only $ 110 on the body. In the next few years, I wrote scripts for many TV series, including Hunter, Macgyver, Star Trek, Night Court ... and some other things that I didn't want to mention at all. My subconscious has made me forget them all!
In 2005, I returned to Caltech to continue teaching. This is the time I'm most proud of: I worked with my old friend Hawking and co-authored A Brief History of Time (Popular Edition). Working with Hawking is extremely encouraging, not because of his fame but because of his courage and perseverance. Although the communication with Hawking is slow and laborious, we are not tired of it. In 2010 we co-authored the best-selling book "Big Design".
Well, you already know too much. Finally, please remember my name (which is actually very easy to remember), Mont-Lo-Di-No, just read it a few times and it will go.
