What Are the Different Types of Wastewater Treatment Technology?
Wastewater treatment technology is based on research conducted in Illinois from 1970 to 1973. This research is based on determining the capabilities and limits of industrial-scale wastewater treatment technologies for 22 major industrial pollutants. A report to Illinois entitled "Wastewater Treatment Technology" came to an end.
Wastewater treatment technology
- Based on some of the technical properties identified in the report, the Illinois Pollution Control Agency established industrial emission standards in 1972. To verify the data collected in the first report, a second study was conducted in 1973 to revise the original report and add new information. This revised second edition of the Wastewater Treatment Technology report was published by the Illinois Environmental Quality Association in 1973. The demand for these reports was not anticipated, and therefore underprinted to meet the needs. In view of the limited availability of the report, the rapid development of treatment technology in the field of industrial pollution control, and in order to allow the report staff to continue to use and refer to it in 1973, it was decided in 1974 to revise the study again to reflect current technology and publish this book. This is the simple process that led to the publication of the wastewater treatment technology textbook. This book is divided into 22 chapters, each chapter discusses a kind of pollutant. Each chapter is expected to achieve the following three objectives well: 1. Identify the source and representative content of the pollutants discussed. 2. Introduce the current processing technologies in terms of: (1) the operating methods and limits of each processing technology (2) the processing level that has been reached in industrial-scale installations, if no industrial-scale data is available \ in use The trial scale data (3) compares the economics of each processing technology in terms of investment costs, as well as operating and maintenance costs. 3. Summary of the main types of treatment technologies and the achievable pollutant content in emissions. Where insufficient information is available to achieve the above-mentioned objectives, for example with regard to boron and selenium, applicable data are presented. In order to allow readers who want to delve deeper into the original source documents, to find the source of particularly important materials, all documents with reference value have been attached to the book as far as possible. Any honor in this book does not belong to the author, but to many pollution control engineers and scientists who have collected and published the results and experience of their research, observations. Special thanks go to Dr. Roger A. Minear of the University of Tennessee, who was an important member of the original wastewater treatment technology research group. As any author can understand right away, such a job would not be possible without the willing patience and sponsorship of his family, for which I want to thank my wife Ann and my child Michael And Leslie. This work requires the evaluation and explanation of the results of many workers. For any errors and omissions in the interpretation of this book, I will bear all
