What is the tribometer?

Tribomet is a device used to measure friction and wear between two surfaces. There are different patterns for tricometers, but the most basic includes a flat or spherical surface that is repeated through the face of another material. The exact weight is applied to the moving part for the duration of the test. The final measurement shows the wear of the material and is often used to determine its strength and longevity. Trocometers are an integral part of production and engineering. It also includes the study of how lubricants affect wear and rubbing. Consumer product manufacturers often use a tribologist to determine how long they last, and to simulate different conditions, realistic tolerances with a tribometer can withstand.

. The most common machine is a flat disk that CBI made of several materials or balls. After starting, the probe either turns over the surface of the test material or moves back and forth in the track. Test results are measured by different tools and physical consideration of the amount of material thatwas lost during the process.

Another type is a variable incidence. This device is used to determine the slide surface. It consists of a piston that is driven down to the surface to be tested when the pressure levels are increased until the slide number is determined when the piston slips. This is often used to determine the safety of the workplace and to test the new designs of shoe bosses.

Nano or Micro Tribomet is a device similar to a standard unit, but has been modified to allow wear tests to incredibly small scales. We are often MyED to test paper, surgical tools and electronic components. Accurate equipment is usually required to obtain results from these tests for fractional small areas.

Some trocometers are designed to simulate very extreme conditions. High load units are used for testMaterial materials used in extensive construction and exhibit them very high heights. High -temperature units simulate unusually intense temperatures and are often used to test materials in the aerospace industry.

In industry and production, a tribometer can be used for different products. They are usually associated with testing legs, tools and parts of machines. Other less known applications include testing cosmetics, medical implants, floors and lubricants.
