What is an Encapsulant?

Sealant (English name scalant) is also called sealant; sealing material. It is based on high-grade material, a material that deforms with the shape of the sealing surface, is not easy to flow, and has a certain cohesiveness. A material with good sealing performance to prevent the intrusion of external impurities and the leakage of internal materials in the static bonding parts of various machines. Divided into two types of adhesive and non-adhesive. Adhesive type is divided into elastic type, hot melt type and anaerobic type; non-adhesive type is divided into dry fixing type, dry peeling type, semi-dry viscoelastic type and non-drying type. With leak-proof, waterproof, anti-vibration, sound insulation, heat insulation and other functions. Usually based on dry or non-drying viscous materials such as asphalt, natural resins or synthetic resins, natural rubber or synthetic rubber, and inert fillers such as talc, white clay, carbon black, titanium dioxide and asbestos, and then plasticized Agent, solvent, curing agent, accelerator, etc. Household products, such as common bottle sealants for various containers, are limited to sealing at normal temperature (or low use temperature) and normal pressure, and the sealing surface is small. And it is widely used in chemical, machinery, construction, transportation, electronic instrument and parts sealing. The conditions of use are high temperature, high pressure, contact with various solvents, acids, alkalis and other corrosive media. The sealing area is large and the service life is long. The requirements on the performance of the sealant are much higher. There are many types and types of sealants, which cannot be listed one by one. . Chemical equipment commonly used is a high temperature and high pressure curing type sealant. [1]

Chemical equipment commonly used is a high temperature and high pressure curing type sealant. [1]
Chemical equipment often leaks equipment, pipelines, flanges, welds, etc. under operating conditions, and must be sealed and plugged under operating conditions. The commonly used sealant is injected into the plugging fixture by a glue injection gun. The fixture is customized according to the leakage site to enhance the effect and strength of the sealant. Leakage locations such as steam and flue gas have temperatures as high as six or seven hundred degrees, with high pressure; some are toxic and harmful, such as phosgene and chlorine, and others are strong in dissolving ability such as oil, solvents, and gas. Explosive materials. We also need to use professional sealants suitable for various media, temperature and pressure. There are three commonly used TXG type curing sealants, which are "non-curing, fast curing, and slow curing". The specific functions are as follows:

Sealant non-curing type

The sealant will never solidify when injected into the fixture. It has always been loosely packed in the fixture. The advantage is that the glue can be refilled into the fixture at any time, and the temperature will not change too much. It will never be cured, and it will always be the same when it is injected. It is very easy to make glue if there is leakage. Due to the addition of high-temperature molecular materials, this type of sealant is particularly easy to break. There are clean glue, steel balls, and copper wires, which are mainly used for ultra-high temperature steam and flue. They can also be used in any medium. Four types of sealants such as 32 # can be selected.

Sealant fast curing type

The sealant is usually solidified into a stone-like body within 6 hours after it is injected into the fixture. The higher the temperature of the leak and the higher the air, the faster the solidification. The advantage is that it solidifies to increase the strength of the fixture. The sealant is elastic due to the addition of a large amount of rubber. The disadvantage is that the temperature is lower than 800 degrees. The glue injection must be fast or the glue will solidify into stone before the injection is completed. If leakage occurs after the glue injection, it is very difficult to make up the glue. You can use an extended drill to drill in the injection hole After filling the glue, the success rate is only 10%. The common method of using this glue is to remove the clamp and reinstall it. This type of sealant is elastic due to the addition of a large amount of rubber as the material, and it cannot be broken when it is bent back, and its appearance is delicate. There are three types of fast curing types: clear glue, steel ball, and copper wire. The type of plugging medium is different, and TXG24 #, 31 # can be used.

Sealant slow curing type

The sealant is generally solidified into a dry soil mud block after being injected into the fixture for three days. The advantages are that it is easy to glue and has higher temperature resistance. The adaptable temperature is as high as 950 degrees, and the curing time is as slow as 30 days. It is not necessary to inject the glue, and it is easy to repair the glue if leakage occurs. This type of sealant is easy to break due to the addition of quartz material, its appearance is rough, and its elasticity is small. The slow-curing type includes net glue, steel ball, and copper wire, and different types of plugging media are different. You can choose TXG8, 18 #, 15 #, and 35 # sealants.
