What Is an Orifice Plate?
The orifice plate is installed in a closed pipe, and a detection element that measures the flow of liquid, gas and steam according to the principle of a throttling device. The standard orifice plate is a thin metal plate with a circular opening. The wall of the orifice is at right angles to the front face of the orifice plate. The axis of the orifice plate is concentric with the axis of the pipe during installation.
