What is electronic perception technology (EPT)?
Electronic perception technology (EPT) is a low -cost technology with one chip that allows electronic components to create a 3D map of their surroundings and see what their users are doing. One of the first applications is the "virtual keyboard", a system that projects the laser keyboard on the table and detects which keys to the user by watching the hands and scanning which stains on the table touch their fingers. The current EPT keyboard can feel up to 400 characters per minute.
by transmitting light impulses and timing how long it takes to reflect the sensor, EPT systems can determine depth. This is quite different from the way the human brain determines depth but still effective. EPT systems can accurately determine the brightness and distinguish objects apart.
The application of efficient machine vision technology is extremely wide. They include products for consumers, automobile, industrial, military, safety, research and medical industry. EPT is the difference between the producty and the tools they see and and products that don't. Or elegant robots on wheels who can serve appetizers and drinks at a cocktail party without slamming into guests or furniture. A company that owns the best available EPT technology has already submitted dozens of patents for various applications.
in production, EPT can be used to sort products or product components, perform quality control and observation of the assembly to ensure that safety standards are met. This technology will allow an even greater degree of automation in today's production and releases human hands and the mind for more creative persecution at a high level. In Transportation, EPT will be equipped on cars to produce cars that drive themselves, minimize accidents and provide greater than human performance for certain driving tasks. The assumed applications of this technology are virtually unlimited.
