How Do I Choose the Best Halogen Bulbs?
Halogen lamp (English: halogen lamp), referred to as halogen bulb or halogen lamp for short, also known as tungsten halogen bulb, quartz bulb, is a variant of incandescent lamp.
- Halogen lamps are made of tungsten filament, but are enclosed in a smaller quartz glass envelope. Because the glass bulb is very close to the filament, it will melt easily if it is made of glass. The gas in the glass bulb is composed of different gases to form a halogen lamp group. These gases have a very interesting property: they are combined with tungsten vapor. If the temperature is not high enough, the tungsten atoms bound by the halogen gas are evaporated and redeposited on the filament. This cyclic process makes the filament last a lot of time. Also, it can run hot filament, which means you get more light energy. You still get a lot of heat, but because the glass bulb of quartz is so close to the filament, it is hotter than a normal light bulb.
- Halogen bulbs can also operate at higher temperatures than ordinary incandescent lamps, and they are also brighter and more efficient. However, at this temperature, ordinary glass may soften, so halogen bulbs need to be used
- The halogen lamp is an improvement on the incandescent lamp. It maintains the advantages of the incandescent lamp: simple, low cost, easy to adjust and control the brightness,
- Halogen lamps are usually used in situations where concentrated irradiation is required, for CNC machine tools, rolling mills, lathes,
- (1). When installing halogen bulbs, please turn off the power and protect the glass bulb of the bulbs with a plastic cover. Do not touch them with your hands. If you accidentally touch them, use
- In 1879,
- The halogen lamp began to be applied to the car body in the 1970s. Its luminous principle is very similar to that of ordinary incandescent lamps. Because the tungsten filament of halogen lamps has a higher melting point than ordinary incandescent lamps, halogen lamps are larger than incandescent lamps [2 ]
- (1) Use the side of the light source as the bottom to erect the light source to expose the trap on the bottom surface. After the halogen bulb has sufficiently cooled, remove the bulb in the direction of the arrow.
- (2) Unplug the lamp socket connected to the bulb.
- (3) Point the reflector of the bulb toward the lamp holder, and slide the new bulb inward along the bulb mounting plate, taking care not to touch the plug and the surface of the lamp.
- (4) Make sure that the bulb is seated on the groove and connect the socket to the place reliably.
- (5) Install the bulb at the other end in the same way. [4]
