It's no better than plasma television. Since HDTV and 16.77 million colors are standard, plasma television is far beyond any common TV on the market. Cheaper plasma TV can offer EDTV signals (Enhanced TVs definition), but they are better than running a mill.
Disadvantages
- price . Although prices have dropped significantly over the past few years, plasma television is still much more expensive than any common television on the market.
- fragility . Plasma TVs are significantly fragile than many other electronics. The screen is particularly sensitive to the touch and cannot be repaired after burning. It also has a shorter lifetime than a conventional TV tube, with several plasma TVs survivingá more than 7-10 years. This also means that a plasma TV should be treated as little as possible to avoid unnecessary movements or transport.
