What are bipolar speakers?

Bipolar speakers are projection units that are part of the audio system. Sometimes used in commercial environments, speakers of this type are often included as part of a home cinema, which is equipped with a specific sound solution known as spatial sound. One of the characteristics that distinguish bipolar speakers from other types of audio speakers is the direction in which the sound is projected.

Unlike other types of speakers, bipolar speakers do not only protrude sound from the front. Instead, drivers who are powered by speakers are located on the opposite sides, with the front or left and rights are two main configurations. Both drivers are usually synchronized, so they fire or project sound at a particular stage or pattern, a function that helps ensure the overall high quality of sound production. This is unlike the dipole speaker, where the sound is projected on one side of the device and is focused in one general direction.

One of the more common uses of bipolar speakers is the sound system of the home cinema. The speaker configuration makes it easier to mount the speakers on the strategic but discreet position along the walls of the room. This can help increase the feeling of emitting sound from the whole space, rather than a screening of one or two places. As a result, sound reproduction has a brightness and fullness that is very difficult to achieve standard speakers.

In addition to bipolar speakers that are designed for wall mounting, there are also bipolar tower speakers. Equipment of this type is often ideal for larger spaces such as assembly hall or conference chamber. By directing sound in multiple directions, people may not be in space so that they can clearly hear the sound presentation. There are also smaller systems available around the house, either as a permanent room arrangement or temporarily set to the backyard.

While some bipolar speakers are designed soY worked with only one specific branded and model of home cinema systems, others are configured to work with a wide range of systems, including TVs, stereos, computers and any other device that receives a sound signal. In recent years, speakers of this type tend to be somewhat expensive, which makes them a rather luxurious object. Advances in technology have made it possible to produce speakers at lower costs, which in turn has helped the equipment to fall significantly.
