What is a 4G network?

4G network is the fourth generation of wireless mobile communication. The overall goal for the network is to provide a comprehensive and secure solution of network communication with much faster data speeds than previous generations. A number of working groups have been set up to help develop a 4G network. The first development towards this technology includes Wimax, a faster version of wireless data transfer than WiFi® networks. LTE is another technology that improves on older 3G systems, but even the standard does not fully meet the requirements of ITU data speed.
