What is a breakout box?

Breakout boxes are a device that can be used to achieve greater access to individual wires in a cable bundle without damaging them or plugs to which they connect. One common use for escape boxes is to enable in-line modification of video and audio signals. Sometimes they are used to record contexts and are also available for some computer sound cards. Breakout boxes are also often used for different types of electrical diagnostic purposes. In the diagnosis of some computer problems, there may be useful escape fields with the right type of plug and similar devices commonly use car techniques. For this purpose, the escape box must be equipped with a specific type of plug, which is compatible with the processing of the cable bundle connector. The internal cabling of the box then brings each individual wire in a harness with larger connectors, a connectors or test points that are easier to work with. In some cases the box can connect directly to the cable harnessOther components, although other escape boxes are designed to be connected in-line.

There are many types of escape boxes, although they can all be divided into two basic groups. The first type of escape boxes is used to improve or otherwise change video and sound signals. These boxes are usually used by recording artists, sound engineers and other similar professionals. Folded wires are usually used to transmit a number of different video and sound signals using a single cable, can be connected to the escape box, providing easy access to everyone.

Another main application for escape boxes is in electrical diagnostics. Many cable bundles in different applications are very firmly packed and connected to similarly dense plugs. These types of wires and POKA can sometimes be seriously damaged by electric probes, making it difficult to perform diagnostic work. One examples are the escapeBoxes designed for use with serial or parallel ports of computers. These devices are able to provide technicians with significantly improved access to these ports for diagnostic work.

Breakout boxes are also common in automotive diagnostics, especially in terms of electronic control modules (ECM). These components often control everything from the timing of the ignition to the fuel mixture and can have tens or even hundreds of wires with them. The connectors used by these modules are proprietary and even different vehicles from the same manufacturer can use different plugs. Breakout box with the right plug can usually be installed in-line, allowing access to the necessary wires even when the vehicle is running.
