What is the tone?
DIAVS Tone is a signal that one hears on a fixed phone before dials the phone number. In most cases the signal disappears as soon as the first number is dialed. In most cases, they are not supposed to dial mobile phones. When the operator was no longer necessary, many people assumed that their phone was not working because they did not hear any sound on the line. The tone was created, so the caller knew that the phone was actually connected and worked before calling.
At home or in the office, several phones can share the same phone line. The use of dial tone also eliminates confusion if one side lifts the phone and the line is used elsewhere.
The early tone was reminiscent of buzzing sound and was created by a motor machine. Today the sound in Nerh America is the frequency of two interference 350 and 440 Hz (Hertz). These signals correspond to the concert playground "A" and "F". Most Europe uses a single tone of 425 Hz.
the sound was also modifiedso as to inform the telephone user of the voicemail or other call features. This is done with a stuttering tone when the phone is lifted.
In general, mobile phones do not use tone. If the phone is turned off, then the user knows that it is not used because there is only one "line" on the phone. The number can be dial in advance and pressed the “Send” button. However, a recent mobile phone incarnation designed for older generations uses this sound when opening the phone.
Other common phone tones include the tone of the disconnection that the phone does when the other side hangs, a busy signal, and a loud tone that makes the phone when the receiver is out of the hook. There are also several special information tones. These are three beep tones used by telephone companies before recorded messages that explain why the call did not pass.
