What is a digital TV list?

The digital TV list is a TV programming guide available through a specific provider and is usually accessible via television. Whether a digital TV is accepted via a cable, satellite or other type of receiver, almost all providers now offer a digital TV list for their subscribers. The TV list can be interactive, allowing the user to go through independently, or it could be a static sliding channel that simply features a list of TV shows.

The basic concept of the digital TV list is that it contains some key information. This is the date, time, channels, the name of the TV show and the length of the TV show. Many digital television statements also include a brief summary of the program and noting whether the episode is new or recurring. This information is used by digital video recorders or DVR, which can only be programmed to record only new episodes of TV shows.

In the interactive digital TV list, the user can go through the guide and view what he is currently broadcasting and programs that will be broadcast in the future - generally up to about one week. Some providers can offer information about the schedule further into the future. If the user has an DVR connected, it can select programs to be recorded by a gathering. The guide can also show channels that are not currently prepaid, but it allows the user to see what is available, that he wants to subscribe to these channels - such as sports channels, film channels or music channels.

Another type of TV digital list may also be a scroll wizard that the user cannot pass independently. This type of list is usually only on a particular channel and has been much more common in the past with an analog TV. The TV list will be able to show what it is currently playing and what will be broadcast in the next hour or two.

Digital TV list can also be available free online, although not all television providers offer this service. Some types of digital video recorders allow the user to set up programs from the Internet, which is particularly convenient. Various network channels will also offer their television serial plans for free.
