What is a double output power supply?

Dual output power supply is a power source that provides two separate direct current outputs (DC) or alternating current (AC) voltage. Both are usually electrically insulated from the transformer power input. Outputs can also be electrically insulated from each other, depending on the design. It can be adjustable power or can provide fixed voltages or currents. This type of energy source is often used by scientists and techniques in laboratories and medical and industrial facilities. Insulated outputs also allow the double output power supply to be controlled by separate circuits that must not have a common ground connection. If the outputs are not electrically insulated, they will share common ground. Such an offer can only have three physical connectors, instead of two output and two ground connectors.
