What is a subwoofer?
Subwoofer is a speaker that is designed to reproduce very low bass frequencies (usually those between 20 Hz and 125 Hz). These speakers tend to have large sizes (between 8 "(20.3 cm) and 15" (38.1 cm) on average) and require more power to operate than their small speakers. The subwoofer is used to ensure a powerful sound rumble or a strike commonly used in movies and music. In both applications, the subwoofer is not considered a separate device, but helps to strengthen the higher sound made from the speakers. Although it is never necessary to reproduce sound from a car or home sound system, subwoofers have achieved great popularity due to their ability to pack a large, low -frequency punch in a small space.
The quality of the subwoofer depends mainly on its construction and components used in its production. Subwoofers can be produced by various materials, including reinforced paper, polypropylene, Kevlar®, carbon or aluminum. Each material providesa slightly different effect or sound.
Further increase in the sound of subwoofers are their attachments. Conlosures are used for subwoofers to mount them and provide them with space to create their prosperous sound. There are many different types and sizes of the subwoofer boxes and each achieves a different sound effect and volume level. Several domestic cinema systems include a subwoofer that corresponds to the speakers and amplifiers. In this case, your work is done for you. However, if you buy a subwoofer to be added to your home system or the audio setting of the car, is it important to consider: mounted or unconnected?
