What is the speech synthesizer?

speech synthesizer is a device that is used to convert text characters into sounds that bring the sound of human language. The concept of speech synthesis has existed for centuries, but only in the last decades this process has been available to the general public.

There are examples of attempts to artificially produce human language patterns that return to the 11th century. The real progress with modern ribbons began at the age of 30. Bell Laboratories created a synthesizer that was called VokoDér. The data was entered using the keyboard, analyzed by the system, and the appropriate sounds for creating words. While intonation and inflection of words were somewhat primitive, the device created clearly understandable words. The refined version of this device, Voder, was introduced to the public at the 1939 World Fair.

In the 1950s, work on a speech synthesizer that would use visual images and entered the text created by partially successful results. At the same time, technological advances began to improve sound quality. At a time when automated voice communication became at the age of 70, there were several speech synthesizers that were able to produce sounds that were very close to the patterns of human language. In a short period of time, they used to produce such products such as pre -recorded messages on record machines and reading products for people who have been visually POSmounted.

The arrival of a personal computer also opened the door to further improve speech synthesizer. Including devices in the home computer system can enjoy reading or limited vision using different computer programs. Today, the quality of the voice is on most of the speech synthesizer models far from robotic sounds created by devices created at the beginning of the 20th century. Many versions today are able to produce voice patterns that are almost indistinguishable from human language.
