What is a universal power supply?

Universal power supply is a device that reduces the household current of 110 or 220 V and converts it to DC to power electronic equipment, equipment or some other electrical equipment. It consists of a transformer enclosed in a box equipped with a wall stopper at one end and a cord on the other. There is a switch in the field that allows the user to select the output voltage, usually between 1 and 20 volts, and connected to the output are a number of diodes for converting AC to DC. The universal power supply is supplied with different output connectors, each designed to match the device input that will run on one of the selected voltage settings.

Notebooks and households, as well as sound and video and other electronic equipment, come with their own mobile power supply to run them from the district of the household. Transformers and diodes in power are necessary to protect fine electronic circuits in these devices and loss, too common, it makes them broken. There is no standard input voltage that would be suitable for all devices, so having a universal power supply at hand is an easy way to regain use if the power is lost.

The transformer has an input and output coil, both wrapped around the central core, and the input voltage ratio to the output voltage depends on the relative number of turning these two coils. The switch to the universal power supply changes the output voltage by changing the position of the connection point to increase or reduce the number of output coils. The diodes convert the current from AC to DC by passing it in one direction while canceling the current in the return direction.

While the universal power supply can be used to power different devices, not suitable for all devices. The purchase by purchasing one as a replacement for a notebook power or powering for a sensitive piece of electronic vybaThe buyers should check the voltage range for which it is evaluated, as well as the output connectors that come with it to make sure it works. The power supply current should also be the same as for the device for which it will be used.
