What is the IR light switch?

Infrared (IR) light switch detects or receives infrared signals and responds with a programmed action. The IR motion sensor can respond by turning on light after the movement detection by receiving infrared signals from humans, living things or any heat producing objects. IR sensors can also perform a task when they are triggered by an infrared light beam focused directly on the light sensor emitting the diode (LED). The IR light switch operates inside or off the lights, fans or other electrical equipment.

The shortest wavelength of invisible light contains an infrared spectrum. As the atoms constantly move in the mass, emit energy or photons, and part of this energy lies in the infrared spectrum. The IR light switch sensors detect this energy and convert the signal to the electric current, causing the light to turn on. Some IR technology, such as television remote control, requires signals transmitted from the infrared light beam. When the button on the Remote is dEpressive, the current travels and illuminates the LED and produces an infrared light beam.

When used for outdoor safety or security of light -producing devices, IR light switch generally contains. Depending on IR technology, lights can automatically turn on and off at dusk when sensors no longer accept thermal signals from sunlight. Other appliances may require infrared heat issued by people or other living items before the lights start to turn on. These devices also contain timers that continue to illuminate for a specified period of time after starting the initial reaction.

Consumers can purchase relatively cheap IR lights detection for internal use. The IR light switch usually screws into the bulb socket and the bulb screws to the outer end of the device. When people enter the room, the sensor detects the infrared signals and the light. The disadvantages of this tThe YPU devices include the fact that the sensor cannot be covered with a shielding lamp or otherwise to be defended.

Another type of IR light switch requires connection to the live wire of the switch or socket. The device appears like any other light switch or socket, but contains an IR sensor. Using IR beams transmitted by remote control consumers turn on and off lights, fans or other room appliances. More complex versions allow the codes to be programmed into the remote control to get the lights after 15 minutes or even two hours later.
