What is RMVB?
The real media variable Bitrate (RMVB) is a file format developed and owned by Realnetworks®. It is designed to be compatible with Realplayer®, proprietary software for the company's media player. RMVB files are coded with Bitrate variable (VBR) format, unlike constant bitrate (CBR). The VBR format allocates various output rates and storage space based on the complexity of the segment in the music file; More complex data get higher bitrates and more storage. The CBR format allocates constant speed and space in the music file. VBR usually produces higher quality than CBR. The RMVB codec or the digitization of the compression device was the first codec designed by Realnetworks® to support variable bitrates. For example, during parts of a movie with a fast -moving action or complex images, Bitorate is high to maintain a clean and fresh image. During the parts of the video, where there may be a small movement or just an empty screen, bitrate will decrease. RMVB file will usually lookSo clearly and defined as a top -class video video, such as intertwining a sound video (AVI), but it will only be a fraction of the size.
RMVB format differs from other realplayer® codecs because it is not a streaming format. Any RMVB set downloaded on the computer is located solely on the hard disk of this computer; No internet connection is required when downloading is complete.
While the RMVB format is among the Internet users due to its small size and above -average video quality due to the fact that Realplayer® itself is controversial. The program has been criticized as spyware and adware. This is also commonly criticized for joining too many types of files and for being too difficult to remove one installed.
As a response, independent developers designed and released freeware that makes Realplayer® Codec compatible with other media players such asVLC Player and Windows Media Player Classic. RMVB Converters have also been released independently of Realnetworks® and allow users to convert files to other popular file formats such as AVIs that do not require Realplayer®.
