What is a distribution package?

The

distribution package provides product protection during the distribution process. It is considered to be a form of secondary packaging, maintaining the products safe until they reach retailers and end consumers. Companies can use standardized dimensioning techniques to facilitate loading trucks and containers with ready -made products in their distribution packages. In addition to saving space and maximizing efficiency, this can add insulation and prevent shocks from transit. The design of the package tends to focus more on space considerations and efficiency than on aesthetics, because consumers may not see it. This could include compact discs in their shrink wrap, milk cartons or cards of cards. In some cases, the distribution package also creates a carrier or a selling container for the product. For example, many confectionery manufacturers sell candies bars in cases that can be pushed directly into the dispense stores for indivative Bars. Distribution package in this case alsoCreates a separate sales module. Drinks can be wrapped in four packages, six packages or cases, for example, provided most consumers do not want to buy individual units. Some stores offer customers a discount on buying whole products that usually come in packages that have to be divided into sale. For example, it may be cheaper to buy a box with 10 candies than 10 individual units.

6 The distribution package may provide insulation to reduce heat or cold loss, except for the material layer to prevent scratches, tears and other compromises of each package. It also increases ease of hand, often with handles or straps to make it easy to catch, and a uniform shape designed to reduce the work for truck drivers and other people who can process the product along the distribution chain.

In the software industry, this term is used toMarking of the product. The software was historically released in boxes with discs, documentation and additional hardware, if possible. Each of them created a distribution package and provided a complete set of components for the final consumer. This terminology is also maintained for software products that can be downloaded directly. Download includes compressed files with documentation, user license agreements, warranty information and similar materials.
