What is cash on delivery?

Cash on delivery, also known as COD, is the method of payment for the received goods that will be delivered. Payment is provided at the time of delivery. Cash for delivery does not always mean "cash" as a payment, but it can also mean a cashier check, credit card or personal check. It really depends on the establishment you are buying from, about what forms of payment are acceptable.

Probably one of the most practiced cash forms today is the one we think very little, but often use in the US: delivery of pizza. It is difficult to guess how much pizza can be supplied daily and the number is probably stunning if you look at the annual cod transactions of this type. It is true that some people are now paying the phone before delivery of pizza, but many still submit cash or check and hopefully a tip.

Other types of cash on delivery can revolve around furniture deliveries, computer equipment and the like. Like CODIt is a practice of non -credit card loss until the ordered catalog or internet products are ordered. It is more difficult to find cash when delivering transactions for things sent through a regular US postal service or other companies such as United Parcel Service®. However, if you have something sent that did not contain appropriate postage, you may need to make a trip to the post office and pay the balance of the postage amount to apply your package.

In some respects, cash to deliver the consumer protection from the seller who would take the money and then could not agree on the agreed items. However, any conscientious retail device will do everything in its power to make sure they deliver items as promised. They may be less willing to trust the customer and wish to pay before delivery in the Order to make sure they receive payment and do not have to pay a delivered person to attempt delivery unless the customer does not intentu pay for the item.
